UPDATE:  The video doesn’t seem to work on this page when you’re using an iPhone or iPad.  If you look in the sidebar, at the top it says “Most Recent Videos”, “Bloody Mary” is the first one.  iPhone users, the sidebar is all the way at the bottom. 

 

It’s a long story but Lady Gaga herself found out I was using her song “Bloody Mary” for my 2012 competition piece and was interested in seeing the choreography.  I know it sounds crazy but I’ve gotten emails from her publicist and everything and she really wants to see it. So with funding, motivation and direction from the Pia family, whose daughter is one of my students and who also happen to own a production company, we decided to make this video and send it off to her.  They provided professional lighting, cameras, a director and crew who spent one very long day with me and my dancers until we got everything just right. I don’t know how to thank everyone involved, it was one of the best days of my professional life.  I hope you have as much fun watching it as we had making it…
